We Have Submitted Reports To FG And We Are Expecting A Respond–Osodeke



The President of the Academic Staff Union Of Universities (ASUU), Mr Emmanuel Osodeke has said that the Striking Unions are vividly expecting a response from the Federal Government concerning their demands.


Speaking in a telephone chat with to Newsmen , the National President of ASUU,  Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, said his union had done its best in the circumstance.

According to the Union, “We have made our presentation to the committee and there is nothing more to add,” he said.

On when the feedback is expected from the Federal government’s side, he said, “They promised to get back to us within a short time.”

Though he did not say anything about what the union’s presentation contained, it was gathered that union could give the government more time to meet some demands that have financial implications.

Now ! You may be asking on when ASUU may likely Suspend it’s Four Months Old Strike. Well , the hope of Nigerian Students regarding when ASUU would Suspend strike , rests on the response of the Federal Government to the demands of the union made through a committee set up by the government to negotiate with it. If the demands are not honoured by the Federal Government. Then it means that the prolonged strike still continues.
